Born in Clinton, South Carolina, Darrell has made his home in Columbia for almost 40 years. He and his brother, were among the first sets of identical twins to achieve the honor of becoming Eagle Scouts simultaneously. Darrell received an honorable discharge from the USMC. He is a life Member of Ancient Free Masons, a Jamil Shriner, as well as, a member of the Valley of Columbia Scottish Rite. He is also a member of Dutch Fork Baptist Church in Irmo. Darrell earned his college degree from USC where he is a member of the Gamecock Club and, of course, is an AVID GAMECOCK fan! (However with his daughter, Amber – a CLEMSON grad, and his son, Chaucer – a Citadel grad, Darrell does pull for the Tigers and the Bulldogs if they aren’t playing South Carolina.)
